ATLANTA, Ga. — SJC Ventures, a premier Atlanta-based mixed-use, grocery-anchored retail and multi-family development firm, recently welcomed Ben Curran as its new senior vice president of multi-family. Curran will lead the multi-family division for SJC Ventures.
With more than 30 years of experience, Curran is an accomplished real estate executive with an extensive background in managing and developing high-end multi-family residential and mixed-use projects in multiple institutional markets, including Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, South Florida, Milwaukee and Orlando.
He is a proven leader in opportunity development, site selection, capitalization, design, implementation and disposition. Over his career, Curran has worked in many facets of the real estate industry and has performed asset management for one of the largest developers of commercial real estate nationwide, directed corporate real estate functions for a domestic US airline and helped manage the development of over 12,000 multi-family units throughout the country.
In his new role, Curran will focus on executing on the company’s unique opportunity to build luxury residential communities as independent investments, as well as components of its mixed-use developments anchored by specialty grocery stores, managing SJC Venture’s multi-family development team and sourcing new opportunities in targeted markets throughout the eastern United States.

Most recently, Curran served as chief development officer for an Atlanta-based multi-family development firm where he spent over 24 years.
Curran holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Wofford College and a master’s degree in finance and entrepreneurship from Rice University.
