Developers begin demolition and construction on Whole Foods Market in St. Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – After receiving all of the permits for the project, J Square Developers and SJC Ventures, development partners, have started demolition and construction on the first Whole Foods Market in St. Petersburg, Florida.

The free-standing organic grocery store will be located at 201 38th Avenue North.

“Part of the early construction process will include re-routing an existing storm sewer line that runs right through the middle of the property so passersby will see that happening first, plus demolition of the existing structures before going vertical,” said Jay Miller, CEO of J Square Developers.

Hawkins Construction is the general contractor on site and the owner of the property is Sunrise Plaza Holdings.
